About Mrs. Nancy
Certified Academic Language Therapist
Hi, My name is Nancy Ganiko and I am the Dyslexia Therapist here at LCCA. I came on board in January 2018 and I love this school and I love my position here!
I have worked in Education for a total of 26 years, with the first 21 years in the public school system as a Classroom Teacher and Elementary School Counselor and the past five years as a Dyslexia Therapist. I became interested in Dyslexia Therapy after filling in as Dyslexia Teacher in my final year in public education. It was at the point I took a non reading 3rd grade student to successful reading that I realized I wanted to specialize in Dyslexia.
I studied for two years in a Graduate Level program that teaches the Scottish Rite Take Flight Curriculum. It is a methodical phonics based, multisensory curriculum that brings consistent results in helping students. Although it is specific to Dyslexia, it also provides excellent results for any student who is struggling with Reading.
It is a two year program although it can at times take a little longer.
I am qualified to screen for Dyslexia and also to administer the battery of testing for Dyslexia.
I would love to be of any assistance. If you have questions regarding our Dyslexia Program please feel free to text me, email me, or to give me a call. My preferred way to be contacted is by text if possible.
Nancy Ganiko M.S., CALT, Dyslexia Therapist
